Onboarding

Follow these steps when you arrive at the meetup to get connected.

1. Get Your Guest Code

When you arrive at the meetup, the host will provide you with a Guest Code to access HTB's Dedicated Labs environment.

2. Join the Dedicated Lab

  1. Go to enterprise.hackthebox.com
  2. Click on "I have an invite code"
  3. Enter the Guest Code provided by the host
  4. Login to your existing HTB account or create a new one
  5. Complete the signup process and verify your email if needed

3. Connect to VPN

  1. Once logged in, click "Connect to HTB" in the top right corner
  2. Download the VPN configuration file
  3. Connect using OpenVPN or your preferred VPN client
sudo openvpn lab_username.ovpn

Or use the OpenVPN GUI / Tunnelblick to import and connect.

4. Start Hacking!

Once connected, you're ready to go. The host will guide you through the machines and challenges we'll be working on together.

Note: Guest codes are temporary and will auto-expire after the event.

What to Bring

  • Laptop with OpenVPN installed
  • Charger
  • Kali Linux VM or similar pentesting environment (recommended)
  • Note-taking app or paper
